About Me
Holding my two day old baby in my hands, leaving hospital with wife and having absolutely no clue what to do with baby except for basics that
hospital staff just told us mainly about feeding.
But one promise i made that day, I will do whatever in my capacity to the best of my abilities for this tiny human being that we were blessed with after 7 years of our marriage.
Time passed and that promise went somewhere at the back of mind.
It’s not that we as couple weren’t doing anything rather quite the opposite. We were doing whatever we could like most of parents but frankly i won’t call it “to the best of our abilities”.
We were more and more becoming stressed, exhausted, bit grumpy, and most importantly "not fun" parents for a toddler. Occasionally there was yelling and then guilt trip, often we found ourselves busy with work while he wanted attention, sometimes we would be in rush and ignore his innocent 5 more minutes of play pleas.
Many of parents including us (at that time) thought these are not big of issues (fewer times may be not, but these become habit of parents and
that”s the problem of huge magnitude) but these issues didn”t coincide with our dream of raising strong, resilient boy and didn’t commit to “to the best
of our abilities” promise we made in the beginning of parenthood journey.
Turning point came when we saw him unable to control his anger, or for that matter most of his emotions. We revisited our approach and since then are dedicated to bring change in our approach towards parenting no matter how small or insignificant it appears.
This blog is us sharing our journey, wisdom, mistakes, course correction whatever we did and are doing and will do to promise of raising strong, resilient kids for our small input to making world a little better place.
